What an AI data room is
An AI data room is a normal gated data room that you operate through an assistant. The room itself opens in a browser for your investors, buyers or clients. The difference is on your side: instead of clicking through a dashboard to create sections, set an NDA and check engagement, you say it in a sentence.
It works through MCP, the open standard assistants use to call actions in other apps. SendNow's MCP server is at https://share.sendnow.live/mcp, with OAuth 2.1 sign-in and no API key. The full walkthrough is in how to connect Claude and ChatGPT to a data room.

What the assistant can and cannot touch
It can manage and measure
Create rooms, set security, issue and revoke links, and read viewer analytics.
It cannot read your documents
No tool returns document body text. The assistant sees names, IDs, settings and analytics, not what is written inside your files.
It asks before deleting
Deletion is permanent, so the assistant names the exact file or link and waits for a yes. Revoking a link keeps the history.
It signs in as you
OAuth ties access to your account. Remove SendNow in the assistant's settings and the tokens are deleted.
